Then it was a day full of sweat. The weather in Korea, even after a full day of rain, is always humid. With the blazing sun, the feeling of heat is amplified by the humidity. We all went to a local farm where people can purchase a small farming area (hard to call it a field, it's only about 20m squared) to plant seeds for vegetables. While the adults picked lettuce and tomatoes, kids were kids.
Then we went rollerblading for about 2 hours. The little one loves to rollerblade, and with a beginner dad, it makes it so much more fun. Rollerblading is a lot like parenting in many respects. You can give kids the opportunity to rollerblade and give them some sort of protection but if you don't let them fall and scrape their knees, they will never learn to fully skate. Moreover, they will not acquire the self-confidence to try something new, something more adventurous. It's a careful balance of both support, encouragement, accepting failures (in this case falling down) and letting them go that will allow kids to grow and learn.

Aunt picking lettuce.

Uncle tying branches to a pole.

6 ripe cherry tomatoes!

Watering anything but plants.

My sweet, awesome hat and sunglasses I bought the other day.

"Tell dad we won't push him but when he stands up, let's get him."

Mission accomplished.

Love the hat and sunglasses! The kids are so cute!
